Southbank is where Melbourne hosts its largest corporate event photography assignments. The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) alone draws hundreds of conferences, trade shows, exhibitions and corporate galas every year, and the surrounding precinct adds dozens more venues along the Yarra River's south bank. Each of these spaces presents different challenges. MCEC's exhibition halls are vast and require strategic positioning to capture both the scale of the event and the individual moments within it. Crown's ballrooms are atmospheric but demand careful handling of mixed artificial lighting. Hamer Hall's curved architecture and river views create striking backdrops, but only if your photographer knows where to stand.
